This toe-tapping tune was composed by Iain McLeod, formerly of the Scottish band Shooglenifty. Iain came up with the title while on a visit to the Shetland Islands. A friend of his told him she had developed poor vision and was going to see “Da Eye Wifey,” an idiom for an optomitrist, in order to procure a pair of spectacles.
