(Reels)
The first tune, also known as McCarthy's, is attributed to Tom Matthews, an uilleann piper from Greenanstown in Co. Meath. The second tune is named after a box player from Co. Sligo and was first recorded in 1978 by Kevin Burke and Jackie Daly. John Stenson was a box player and a distant cousin of Kevin’s mother, and as a boy Kevin knew him well. The last tune is a composition by Michael McGoldrick that I got from the playing of fiddler Bronnie Griffin.
